Jan. 31st, 2012 06:05 pmWe might be getting a new kitty this weekend. I don't remember if I posted about it, but one of our two cats passed away a few months ago. She was 10 years old and seemed to be in good health, but died suddenly and we still don't know exactly why. We feel like we're ready for another cat now and there's an adoption event this weekend so we're gonna check it out. Some of the cats that might be there are on Petfinder and I really hope this kitty is there. She's so freakin cute!
The only thing is that on the website they say "no children under 7", which I see as meaning they won't adopt to families with kids under 7, but Chris thinks it means the cat can't be for a child under 7. I hope that either Chris is right or they'll make exceptions. I wouldn't get a cat if I had a kid who I thought might terrorize it, but Jasmine has been around cats since she was born, she mostly ignores them and when she does interact she's very gentle. I don't want to go and fall in love with a cat only to be told we can't adopt because of Jasmine's age.
